Places to Visit

No2 Bruges is in the middle of an outdoor enthusiasts paradise in the foothills of the Pyrenees, and stunning walks and cycling routes start right from our front door.

Whether you want to test your pedal power on the famed Tour de France cols of Aubisque, Soulor, and Marie Blanque, perfect your parallel turns on the pistes at Gourette and Cauterets, ice climb in Gavarnie, enjoy a white water ride on the Pau river, or walk part of the GR10 or St Jacques de Compostella's medieval pilgrim trail there is adventure on the doorstep all year round.

For a more relaxed experience you can take a trip out to the chateaux and ancient villages of the Bearn and Basque Country.

Or for a complete unwind, why not recline on the sand and soak up some sun at the nearby blue lagoon while the kids let off steam on the slides and inflatables, or even sit back with a glass of red and watch the Tour de France cyclists suffer as they crank up through the Pyrenees - the race passes annually.

If your holiday is not complete without some retail therapy, there are bargains galore in the local antique shops and the usual European big name chains are just forty minutes drive away in the picturesque city of Pau. Here you can take a break from the shops with a pavement café coffee while you enjoy the stunning mountain vista.

Last but not least, a subject very close to our hearts: food. French cuisine is world renowned, and experiencing it from No2 Bruges couldn't be easier. Just follow your nose to our local bakery, or ask us for directions to one of our favourite restaurants. If you're really lucky, we might let you in on our little secret - where to find the best fillet steak this side of Argentina.
